COMPLETELY REMODELED 1976 GMC 26' We purchased this coach with 90,000 miles on it from friends in 2001. It was all original at that time. We immediately went through the suspension, bearings, and brakes to make sure it was safe, then proceeded over the years to upgrade and refinish almost everything on the coach. At 135,000 we put in a Dick Paterson Stage II engine and a Manny Trovao switch pitch transmission. The odometer now shows 190,000 miles, and the coach has been 100% reliable since we got a good transmission at 140,000. It took several transmissions to find a good one, but this one seems bullet proof, and of course, the Paterson engine will last "forever". Since rebuilding and updating the brakes, and installing new bearings all the way around soon after purchase, the coach has had regular "repackings" and replacements as I deemed necessary, and at the present time, I would not hesitate to take off for anywhere you can drive, including Alaska. Buy this coach with confidence, you will not be disappointed…it's a good one! I have most, but not all, receipts totaling $35K - $40K for parts only. Will deliver anywhere it can be driven for $.50/mile plus a plane ticket home.
